1&1 Host, one of the leading hosting and Internet providers, recently announced the launch of an appreciation program for war veterans of America called "1&1 Veteran Appreciation Program" - and I reckon that was a fantastic way to improve the brand recognition, and at the same time boost the sales up, without really making a big investment.
As a matter of fact, there was no investment involved, and it was rather a strategic marketing move, which made perfect sense to me, and I'm sure most of the other web hosts would agree to me.
So, a lesson to be learned from 1&1's latest move is that you can market your hosting deals through innovative campaigns without even spending an extra penny, yet gain a lot of exposure from potential customers, and at the same time push your profit margins higher too.
